Why are weekends so short? I’m actually sad that this weekend is over and tomorrow we’re back to our regular da-to-day routine. School started four days ago and things are starting to get intense, which means increasing study time and some weekends will be spent doing homework and prepping for the upcoming midterms or quizzes. Since school started, I have come to appreciate my weekends better – I try to do more productive work and more importantly doing creative work for my blog and social medias.
Now, what’s weekend without brunch, am I right? Last week, Cynthia of Pinch of Chic and I got together to catch up, eat some good food and of course create contents for our blogs. We decided to brunch at ONE Restaurant, located in Yorkville. I have walked passed this restaurant a couple of times before but never really got the chance to eat there. Cynthia ordered the Shakshouka and I ordered the Black Forest french toast –both were delicious and very filling (CLICK HERE for photo). After we were done with our meals, we went for the much recommended sour cherry pie. Actually we were debating whether we should get a dessert or not, but we did –and we devoured it! ![😉]()
Aside from the wonderful selections of brunch menus, ONE Restaurant also offers mouthwatering desserts as well. The sour cherry pie was plated beautifully and it tasted delicious, fresh and not to mention the perfect dessert to welcome the fall season. The outdoor seatings were refreshing, modern and elegant; staffs were also friendly, nice and helpful.
