Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!!

I hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend. As per usual, I’m spending my Chinese New Year with my family – we’ll be starting off our day by getting a quick bite at McDonald’s and then visiting our grandma to wish her a Happy New Year.

Right after, we are going to the Chinese supermarket to get some essentials for our hot pot dinner tonight. The thing is, we love our hot pot and we have them quite often, especially during the holidays – it just tastes so much better especially in the winter. Thinking about it right now makes me want to eat it so soon. It’s actually a bit sad, that my parents couldn’t join, because they live in Indonesia, usually they come here for Chinese New Year, but because the time doesn’t allow them to travel this month, I’ll be seeing them in the summer. How do you guys spend your Chinese New Year?

Just in time for CNY, here are some photos for you to feast on, hehe. Took this photos with Cynthia a couple of weeks ago at The Walton. This little cafe, located on Queen St has such a nice antique and dainty feel to it – makes me feel right at home. Cynthia and I ordered a whole bunch of food, as usual we barely finished everything, but they were delicious though.

For this shoot, I decided to wear something a little bit more edgy and sporty – the quilted bomber jacket added a nice touch of masculinity without being too overpowering, while the ripped jeans added a hint of edginess. To finish off the look, I wore the Converse x Missoni All Star Chuck ’70 Hiker sneakers. Because these sneakers were the star of this look, I kept everything to a minimal. Every single piece transitioned effortlessly from one to the other, thus creating one cohesive look.
